Aer Lingus pay claim is resolved

Aer Lingus management has welcomed the acceptance by 2,500 employees of proposals to resolve an outstanding pay claim.

Aer Lingus management has welcomed the acceptance by 2,500 employees of proposals to resolve an outstanding pay claim.

Under the terms of the agreement employees will receive a 5.5 per cent increase, including substantial retrospection. In return the employees, who are members of SIPTU, have agreed to co-operate with the company in achieving savings of £50 million in the company's operating costs. The savings will be made through a partnership approach to change within the airline.
