An Aer Lingus jet was taken out of service after it was clipped by a Ryanair aircraft which was being towed out of a hangar.

The Airbus A320 was due to take off on January 29th when engineers noticed that the starboard wingtip was damaged.

The incident happened at 4.50am that day as the Ryanair aircraft was being manoeuvred out of a hangar. The Ryanair aircraft was slightly scraped as a result.

The Aer Lingus aircraft was repaired and cleared for service 90 minutes after the damage was found. The Dublin Airport Authority and the Air Accident Investigation Unit were informed. However, as it was not an "Annex 13 incident" with passengers on board either aircraft it was not investigated further.
