All Aer Lingus transatlantic flights today have been cancelled while the airline awaits instructions on new security measures before resuming its service.

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is currently reviewing security measures for internal and international flights following last Tuesday’s attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Passengers leaving from Ireland on transatlantic flights should call the reservations information number 1-800-22-22-21. Passengers in America should call 001-866-IRISH-FLT.

All other flights are expected to operate as scheduled.

Further details are available on the company’s website.
