Aer Lingus has finalised a code-share deal with United Airlines that will see it jointly operate scheduled services between the US and Spain.

The service, between Washington Dulles and Madrid, is scheduled to launch on March 28th.

The airline said in a statement this morning that further routes could be added this year to begin operation next summer.

Aer Lingus will manage the operational aspects of the partnership services while United Airlines will be responsible for managing revenue generation.
