The Sinn Fein president, Mr Gerry Adams, has accepted an invitation to appear before the foreign affairs committee of the French National Assembly on November 12th. "It's a great honour and an important development and we are looking forward to it," a Sinn Fein spokesman said.
But the DUP said the invitation "demonstrates total disdain for the tragic victims of decades of IRA/Sinn Fein terrorism and thuggery".
