Former Ulster Defence Association brigadier Johnny "Mad Dog" Adair will appear at Bolton Magistrates' Court today charged with harassment.

Adair (41) was charged following an incident outside a laundrette on Halliwell Road in Bolton, Greater Manchester, on August 15th.

Adair fled to Bolton in February 2003 after a feud among loyalist groups in Belfast.
