Malibu - US Actor Robert Downey Jr has been sentenced to six months in jail for parole violation after a California judge rejected his appeal for mercy. Downey's probation was revoked on October 17th, when his drug counsellor told authorities the actor violated a court order by using drugs and alcohol in September.
