Chechnya's acting pro-Moscow president today survived a landmine attack on his armoured convoy.

Chechnya's acting pro-Moscow president today survived a landmine attack on his armoured convoy.

Itar-Tass news agency said the blast hit Mr Sergei Abramov's convoy as it sped through Chechnya's regional capital, Grozny.

One member of his staff was killed, two others were injured, but Mr Abramov himself escaped unscathed, it said.
