A man was charged last night with attempted murder following a courtroom knife attack on the defendant in a murder trial in Northern Ireland. The 32-year-old man, from Craigavon, Co Armagh, will appear before magistrates at Lisburn, Co Antrim, this morning.
The incident occurred at Craigavon Crown Court. The attacker was restrained and disarmed by police and prison officers, who recovered a knife in the courtroom.
