A nurse who paid £7,500 for a year-old Toyota Starlet discovered only days later that it belonged to a hire purchase company.

Ms Teresa Mac Gabhann, of Glenville Lawn, Clonsilla, Dublin, was yesterday granted an order freezing the money in a building society account opened by the seller, Mr Ronald Lawlor, of Abbeylands Crescent, Navan.
