The accident and emergency department of the Mater Hospital, Dublin, will be closed from tomorrow at 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday. The closure is to allow for maintenance. The public is advised to see GPs rather than going to other hospital casualty units unless emergency treatment is required.
Those requiring emergency treatment should attend Beaumont Hospital; St Vincent's Hospital; James Connolly Memorial Hospital; St James's Hospital; and the Meath Hospital.
