Dallas - The Roman Catholic diocese of Dallas said yesterday it agreed to pay $23.4 million to nine former altar boys sexually abused by a Catholic priest.
A Dallas jury last year ordered the church to pay $119.6 million to the boys repeatedly abused by Father Rudolph Kos over an 11-year period ending in 1992 but the diocese said the ruling would put it into bankruptcy so both sides negotiated a settlement package.
