Abducted Derry man is freed

A 47-year-old man who was abducted from his home in the Creggan, Derry, by five masked men, one of whom had a handgun, last night returned home safely. The gang forced its way into his home at 10.30 p.m. on Thursday. Mr Adrian Ward's wife and their four children, aged between five months and nine years, were held hostage in their home until he returned from shift work at 7.30 a.m. yesterday.
