A Belfast call centre today announced 80 new multi-lingual jobs.

TeleTech UK said it is seeking to recruit fluent speakers of English and 15 European languages to cope with a growth in existing contracts and new contracts.

The outsource company, which employs about 500 people at its base in the north of the city in Duncairn Gardens, wants to fill the posts within the next month.

New employees will provide technical support for clients around the world.

Native speakers in Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, or Turkish are being sought.

The company is a subsidiary of US firm TeleTech Holdings, which headquartered in Colorado and employs 37,000 people speaking 25 languages in 17 countries around the world.
