Eight men charged with taking part in a "Real IRA" training camp were further remanded for three weeks at the Special Criminal Court in Dublin yesterday.
They are charged with participating in training at Herbertstown, Stamullen, Co Meath, on October 20th last year. They are also charged with the unlawful possession of an assault rifle, a pistol, a submachine-gun and ammunition.
Four of those charged are from Dublin: Mr Anthony Ryan (24), of Grange Abbey Drive, Donaghmede; his brother, Mr Alan Ryan (19), also of Grange Abbey Drive; Mr John McDonagh (34), of St Oliver's Park, Clondalkin; and a 17-year-old from the city's northside, who cannot be named.
Also charged are Mr Martin Conlon (29), of Railway Street, Co Armagh; Mr Seamus McGrane (45), of Little Road, Drumiskin, Co Louth; Mr Seamus McGreevey (46), of Stamullen, Co Meath; and Mr Damien Lawless (31), of Nicholas Avenue, Dundalk.
The court remanded all eight until March 21st after requests from defence lawyers for time to study the book of evidence.
