70% want Queen to retire - poll

London - Seven in 10 Britons believe Queen Elizabeth should retire and hand over to a younger royal, according to a poll. One-third of those polled think she should step down within the next two or three years. And only one in four thinks she should go on until she dies, according the poll in the Daily Mail. Some 40 per cent of people said they thought the Prince of Wales would make a good king, while 43 per cent said he would not. The ICM poll was based on interviews with 1,108 adults.
