Freetown - At least 70 people fleeing air raids by West African forces in Freetown died when the articulated truck in which they were travelling overturned outside the Sierra Leone capital, police said yesterday. Many of the dead were children. Wailing relatives besieged Freetown's Connaught Hospital where the dead and 22 injured were brought from Saturday night's crash near York, 24 miles east of the capital.
