The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Renewal, Ms Liz McManus, has approved the spending of £6 million for the refurbishment of 162 houses in Cherry Orchard, Dublin. Refurbishment work on 136 of the 334 low cost houses, built in Cherry Orchard in the early 1970s, has already been completed. Work on another 36 is due to finish shortly.
