A total of 59 notifications of infectious disease was received by the Public Health Department of the Eastern Heafth, Board last week.
The most common infection was rubella, or German measles, of which 24 cases were reported. There were also 17 notifications of gastroententis contracted by children under the age of two, two cases of meningitis and one of viral hepatitis type A.
