The University of Ulster has received a grant of £55,000 from the EU to train nurses for relief work in areas hit by natural disasters.

The course is a response to a direction from the World Health Organisation and will involve work with universities, colleges and relief agencies in Finland, Spain, Israel, Britain, Northern Ireland and the Republic. It will lead to a Master of Science degree in disaster relief nursing.
