The Minister for Equality and Law Reform, Mr Mervyn Taylor, said the £500,000 which had been allocated to his department in the Budget for disability initiatives was "a significant initiative" aimed a the promotion of equality for people with disabilities.
He said it followed the publication last November of the ground breaking report of the Commission for the Statas of People with Disabilities.
