Crown lawyers completed their submissions yesterday in the appeal by five men convicted of murdering Ms Ann Marie Smyth, the 26-year-old Armagh woman who was found with her throat cut in east Belfast in 1992.

The hearing, which began two weeks ago, was adjourned until next Monday when defence lawyers will have an opportunity to reply to points made by the Crown.
