48 held in Italian drugs ring raid

Salerno - Italian police detained 48 people overnight in an attempt to crack an international drug ring operating between Albania, Italy, the Netherlands and Turkey. Investigators said members of ordinary and organised crime gangs had planned to sell more than 700 kg of heroin and cocaine.
