Cannabis with a street value of about €400,000 was discovered by gardaí in Navan, Co Meath, on Saturday. The find was made in an open area of the town at about 5.30pm.
It was removed to the Garda Technical Bureau for examination and investigations were ongoing, a Garda spokesman said.
No arrests have been made in connection with the discovery.
