Ford motor company has been ordered to pay nearly £40,000 in compensation to a Catholic man in Belfast for religious discrimination.

The North's Fair Employment Commission last night confirmed it was the highest award made in a discrimination case. The complaint was taken by a former manager at the company's plant in Finaghy.
