JOHANNESBURG - The death toll in a South African mining disaster could reach 22, a government minister said yesterday. The Mineral and Energy Minister, Mr Penuell Maduna, said four bodies had been recovered and 18 miners were still unaccounted for after a mudslide on Wednesday.
