35% increase in licensed cars

There was an increase of almost 35 per cent in the number of new private cars licensed in November 1999 compared to the previous November. In all, 7,304 new private cars were licensed in November of last year, up from 5,419. In the first 11 months of 1999, 166,321 new private cars were licensed, an increase of 23.1 per cent on the corresponding period in 1998.
