About 300 people marched through parts Dublin's north inner city last night in the latest anti-drug protest.

The marchers stopped at the homes of a number of alleged drug dealers in the Sheriff Street and East Wall area. At one house a child in pyjanas watched from a bedroom window as the crowd shouted at a man inside that he had 48 hours to leave the area. After an hour nine gardai arrived to accompany the march, which ended without incident.

About 1,000 people are expected to gather in Buckingham Street tomorrow for an anti-drugs meeting in the Macushla Hall.
