Up to 30 new jobs are to be created as part of a new €1million investment programme in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

Up to 30 new jobs are to be created as part of a new €1million investment programme in Tullamore, Co Offaly.

The announcement was made by Taoiseach Brian Cowen at the opening of the new headquarters of ATSR (Automatic Technology Systems and Research Ltd) this morning.

ATSR, which was established in 2006, produces controlling systems for emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire engines. The firm currently employs 23 people.

The new investment programme is aimed at helping the company win new business in Ireland, Canada, the US and Britain.
