A team of 30 gardai is continuing the investigation into the death of Mr Eddie Fitzmaurice (83) at his home in Bellaghy on the Sligo-Mayo border. A number of suspects have been identified, but so far there has been no breakthrough, according to a spokesman.

Mr Fitzmaurice, who lived alone, was found bound and gagged in the bedroom of his home over his draper's shop. A post-mortem showed he had died of hypothermia.
