Lagos - At least 30 people drowned when their boat capsized while they tried to flee ethnic clashes in south-western Nigeria.
The independent local newspaper Vanguard said the victims headed out to sea after inland waterways were blocked when fighting broke out last week between ethnic Ijaws and Ilajes over land believed to contain oil.
