NEW DELHI - At least 30 people were killed and 12 injured when a bus skidded off the road and rolled into a ditch in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh yesterday. The Press Trust of India said the incident occurred in Pithoragarh, 260 km north west of the state capital Lucknow. There were 47 passengers on the stateowned bus.
