N'Djamena - Around 30 people have been killed and 50 wounded in clashes in central Chad between Arabs and people of the Kouka ethnic group, a source close to the national gendarmerie said yesterday.

The source had no explanation for the clashes over the past few days in the village of Am-Charama in the Batha region.
