Some 30 children from Tallaght, Co Dublin, were treated for shock last night in Letterkenny Hospital last night. The driver of the coach was treated for a fractured arm.

The children, members of the Tallaght Youth Band travelling with five adults, were returning from the Mary of Dungloe Festival in Co Donegal when their coach slid into a ditch near Glenties after pulling over to let a van overtake.

It is understood none of the children were injured. They were discharged from hospital late last night.
