IRISH exports last year totalled an estimated £29.66 billion, the Taoiseach said in a written reply to the Fianna Fail agriculture spokesman, Mr Joe Walsh. Figures available up to November last year show machinery and transport equipment was the biggest export, accounting for £9.4 billion. The 10 largest foreign-owned companies accounted for about £7.7 billion in exports.
