Jakarta - Twenty-eight people died on the Indonesian part of Borneo island when two boats collided in thick smog from forest fires, Indonesia reported yesterday.

The accident occurred on Sunday when a ferry carrying 65 people collided with a tugboat on Borneo's Barito River.
