A ticket tout who sold two fake tickets for a Rolling Stones concert through Buy and Sell magazine was fined €250 yesterday after paying €300 to his victim.

Irmatus Blazevicius was caught when gardaí posed as purchasers after answering another advertisement in the magazine for a second Stones concert, which was held at the Point in September 2003.

Last month, Blazevicius (32), from Lithuania, now living at Johnswood Park, Ashbourne, Co Meath, pleaded guilty to possessing four more forged tickets for the second concert.

Dublin District Court heard that gardaí set up the sting after a woman who bought two tickets in reply to the advert for the first concert was refused entry.

A garda arranged to meet Blazevicius in Grafton Street where he was arrested in possession of four fake tickets.

Three other men, all Lithuanians, were in the street at the same time and one had 24 forged tickets.

These three were also arrested but had since fled the jurisdiction.
