A 60-year-old hotel porter was given a suspended sentence at Galway Circuit Court yesterday after agreeing to pay £20,000 to a man he sexually assaulted over 30 years ago.
The accused pleaded guilty to three charges of indecent assault and two counts of buggery involving his victim who was 10, in the west of Ireland in the early 1960s.
