The Department of Health is to allocate £1 million over three years to develop a care project to prevent homelessness among children leaving care. The project is to be based in the mid-western region and phase one will take place in Co Clare. It will be extended to other mid-west areas and following evaluation, the care project will be extended to all health board areas.
