The expansion and modernisation of Naas General Hospital would cost £19 million, the Minister for Health said yesterday. Mr Noonan said the development was scheduled to be completed in 2000. A building would be constructed to house a new accident and emergency unit, outpatients department and medical records section. Also included in the plans were new medical, surgical and geriatric wards and an enlarged Xray department.
