A Protestant woman has accepted a £17,500 settlement from a Northern health board for unlawful job discrimination

A Protestant woman has accepted a £17,500 settlement from a Northern health board for unlawful job discrimination. She took the case when she was not appointed as team leader with the district nursing department in the Ballymoney and Moyle area of Co Antrim.

In a separate case, a Catholic man accepted £5,000 in settlement of a complaint of religious discrimination against the Western Health and Social Services Board. He complained when he failed to get an appointment as a community project worker with the respite, care section.
