Cape Town - At least 16 people were killed yesterday when the lorry they were travelling in overturned on a mountain pass in Western Cape province, police said.
The lorry, carrying 21 people contracted to work for South Africa's Telkom telephone provider, overturned on the Vanrhyns pass between the towns of Nieuwoudtville and Vanrhynsdorp, about 200 km north of Cape Town.
