15 die as ship sinks off Canada

Nova Scotia - Fifteen people were confirmed dead and six remained missing in the freezing waters off Newfoundland after a Cypriot-registered cargo ship sank yesterday. A spokesman for Canada's rescue co-ordination centre in Halifax said 15 bodies had been recovered near the mostly submerged freighter, Flare. Four crew clinging to an overturned lifeboat were rescued.
