Yaounde - At least 14 people have been killed and 100 houses burned in communal clashes in Cameroon's Northwest Province, the official daily Herald said. It said troops intervened to stop fighting at the weekend between the Bafanj and Balikumbat people in Ngoketunja, 70 km north-east of the provincial capital, Bamdenda.
