Thirteen people were arrested following a Police Service of Northern Ireland operation against car crime in west Belfast and Lisburn this morning.

Two teenaged males appeared at Belfast Magistrates Court this morning charged in connection with the operation.

Mr Ciaran McFarlane (19) with an address at Glenveagh Drive and 17-year-old Michael McBride of Glasvey Drive in Dunmurry deny being in a stolen car and having no insurance.

The operation by the PSNI`s Auto-Crime team lasted for six hours.

Seven cars were recovered, all of which had been reported missing to the police.
