£12,000 taken in petrol station raid

An armed raider escaped on foot with £12,000 in a hold-up on a service station at Palmerstown, Co Dublin, last night. The man, believed to be in his 30s, entered the Statoil station at around 10 p.m. and forced a woman member of staff to unlock the cash office.
