Srinagar - Ten people including six separatist guerrillas have been killed in separate clashes between security forces and militants in the restive north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, police said yesterday.

They said four Hizbul Mujahideen militants and a civilian were killed yesterday in a fierce gunbattle between separatists and paramilitary forces at Pahloo village of Anantnag district, 55 km south of Srinagar. The Hizbul Mujahideen is fighting for Kashmir's merger with neighbouring Pakistan.
