Ten children were taken to hospital today after a fire at an apartment block in Mullingar, Co Westmeath.
No one was seriously injured in the blaze at a flat in Market Point off Patrick Street.
The alarm was raised after a small appliance caught fire in the apartment at around 5.30am.
At least one adult and 10 children, aged from around 10 to six months, were taken to the Midlands Regional Hospital.
