Tashkent - A regional court in Uzbekistan has sentenced 10 people, including a brother of a radical Islamist field commander, Dzhuma Namangani, to between seven and 17 years in prison for allegedly supporting outlawed Muslim groups.
Similar charges have been made against dozens of people since the Uzbek authorities launched a security clampdown following the February 1999 bomb attacks in the capital, Tashkent. The blasts narrowly missed killing President Islam Karimov.
