Some 1,400 local authority dwellings still lack bathroom facilities, according to the Secretary General of the Department of the Environment. Responding to a question from Mr Jim Mitchell TD at yesterday's meeting of the Public Accounts Committee, Mr Jimmy Farrelly said 900 local authority houses will have bathrooms installed under the current remedial works scheme.
